A multi-award-winning cinematographer with over 15 years of experience working internationally within the Film & Television industry. Working extensively on feature films, documentaries, commercials, promos and high end brand films.

A natural eye for lighting, artistic flare, ability to problem solve, and efficiency make James a much sought after Cinematographer.

Recent credits include work for Netflix, NatGeo, CNN, E4, C4, ITV, Toyota, Renault, Oman Air, Picturehouse Cinemas, Shell and Costa Coffee.

After studying Film at university, James began working in the film industry in 2007. He worked resolutely through the camera team ranks on all sizes of productions big and small, making his way from AC/DIT to focus puller, then on to camera operator/steadicam before finally establishing himself as a Director of Photography.

He absorbed experience from everyone around him whilst mastering each role as he progressed. This skill progression allows James to head a department whilst managing and engaging with each member of his team.
